The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA) and the host San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA), observed Rio Mesa's football squad bounce San Marcos by a count of 46-7.

The Spartans now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Ventura for a Channel contest on Friday, September 8. Rio Mesa will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 35-0 league win over Oxnard (Oxnard, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-1.
