The Sapulpa Chieftains held off the visiting Tahlequah Tigers football team by a count of 41-38 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Sapulpa upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Chieftains travel to Bartlesville (Bartlesville, OK) to confront the Bruins in a non-league outing on Friday, September 8. The Bruins go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Bartlesville lost 28-27 in their recent non-league outing against Claremore (Claremore, OK)

With the loss, Tahlequah moves to 0-1 on the season. The Tigers host Wagoner (Wagoner, OK) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Friday, September 8. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a record of 1-0. Wagoner won 24-7 in their recent non-league outing against Coweta (Coweta, OK)
