Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Staley Falcons (Kansas City, MO) and the visiting Ozark Tigers (Ozark, MO), witnessed Staley's softball squad tip Ozark by a count of 5-2.

The Falcons now sport a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Kickapoo for a non-league match on Friday, September 1. Staley will meet a Chiefs squad coming off a 16-5 league win over Glendale (Springfield, MO). The Chiefs record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Ozark moves to 0-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Branson (Branson, MO) to meet the Pirates in a Class 4 District 11 match on Tuesday, September 5. The Pirates go into the match with a record of 3-3. Branson lost 4-2 in their recent non-league match against Logan-Rogersville (Rogersville, MO)
