The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Covington Owls (Covington, TX) and the visiting Iredell Dragons (Iredell, TX), saw Covington's volleyball squad beat Iredell by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Covington upgrades its record to 5-8 on the year. The Owls travel to Maypearl (Maypearl, TX) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 5. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 7-6.

The Dragons now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Penelope for a non-league bout on Friday, September 15.
