In Friday's non-league game, the Monroe Dragons (Monroe, OR) football team tipped the visiting Santiam Wolverines (Mill City, OR), by a final score of 34-28.
The Dragons (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Oakridge (Oakridge, OR). The Warriors come into the 2A Special District 3 game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Oakridge was tipped by Rogue River (Rogue River, OR), 62-14, in a non-league game.
The Wolverines now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Gervais for a 2A Special District 2 game on Friday, September 17. Santiam will battle a Cougars team coming off a 58-8 non-league loss to Jefferson (Jefferson, OR). The Cougars record now stands at 0-2.
