The Northeast Baptist Knights (West Monroe, LA) football overcame the visiting Rebul Academy Raiders (Learned, MS), 50-42 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Knights face the Sharkey Issaquena Academy Confederates (Rolling Fork, MS) in a MAIS 8-Man 1A District 2 (8 Man) bout, on Friday, September 17. Northeast Baptist will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Confederates enter the bout with a 2-1 record after their 42-28 non-league win over Prentiss Christian (Prentiss, MS).
The Raiders (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Franklin Academy (Winnsboro, LA). The Cougars enter the MAIS 8-Man 1A District 3 (8 Man) bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Franklin Academy was toppled by Prairie View Academy (Bastrop, LA), 18-0, in a non-league bout.
