The Ontonagon Gladiators held off the host Carney-Nadeau Wolves football team by a count of 2-0 in Saturday's league challenge.
The Gladiators (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Central (Powers, MI). The Jets come into the Great Lakes - West (8 Man) challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, North Central nipped Gogebic [Johnston/Wakefield] (Bessemer, MI), 63-3, in a league challenge.
The Wolves now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Wright for a Great Lakes - West (8 Man) challenge on Saturday, September 17. Carney-Nadeau will meet a Red Devils team coming off a 22-0 league loss to Stephenson (Stephenson, MI). The Red Devils record now stands at 0-3.
