The Summit Hilltoppers football team (Summit, NJ), was beaten 42-23 in Saturday's league challenge with the visiting Cranford Cougars (Cranford, NJ)
The Cougars (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodbridge (Woodbridge, NJ). The Barrons come into the Big Central - Liberty Gold challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Woodbridge was beaten by Linden (Linden, NJ), 31-0, in a league challenge.
The Hilltoppers now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Thomas Aquinas for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 16. Summit will meet a Trojans team coming off a 43-0 non-league win over Scotch Plains-Fanwood (Scotch Plains, NJ). The Trojans record now stands at 2-1.
