The Lakewood Piners football team (Lakewood, NJ), was beaten 35-6 in Saturday's league challenge with the visiting Shore Regional Blue Devils (West Long Branch, NJ)

The Blue Devils (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Keansburg (Keansburg, NJ). The Titans come into the Shore - Patriot challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Keansburg was beaten by Point Pleasant Beach (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ), 32-22, in a league challenge.

The Piners now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Asbury Park for a Shore - Patriot challenge on Friday, September 16. Lakewood will meet a Bishops team coming off a 30-22 league loss to Keyport/Hudson Regional (Keyport, NJ). The Bishops record now stands at 0-1.
