The crowd at Saturday's league contest between the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) and the visiting Seneca Bobcats (Erie, PA), observed Mercyhurst Prep's football squad edge Seneca by a count of 28-27.

The Lakers now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Northwestern for a District 10 Region 2 contest on Friday, September 16. Mercyhurst Prep will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 42-7 league win over Iroquois (Erie, PA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Bobcats encounter the Eisenhower Knights (Russell, PA) in a District 10 Region 2 contest, on Friday, September 16. Seneca will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
