The Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers football team (Bronx, NY), was beaten 26-6 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host St. John the Baptist Cougars (West Islip, NY)
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Holy Cross (Flushing, NY). The Knights come into the challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Holy Cross achieved victory over Xaverian (Brooklyn, NY), 30-14, in a league challenge.
The Mountaineers now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Kellenberg Memorial for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 17.
