The Lewis County Minutemen soccer team scored 8 points and limited the visiting Pocahontas County Warriors to 0 in the Minutemen non-league victory on Saturday.
Next, the Minutemen face the Robert C. Byrd Eagles (Clarksburg, WV) in a Big Ten contest, on Tuesday, September 13. Lewis County will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 7-1 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Nicholas County (Summersville, WV).
The Warriors now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shady Spring for a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 13. Pocahontas County will face a Tigers team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Princeton (Princeton, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 0-3.
