In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting West Muskingum Tornadoes soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Liberty Union Lions.
The Tornadoes (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Maysville (Zanesville, OH). The Panthers come into the Muskingum Valley battle with a 8-0 record. In their last battle, Maysville nudged Bishop Rosecrans (Zanesville, OH), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
The Lions (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Hamilton Township (Columbus, OH). The Rangers come into the Mid-State - Buckeye battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Hamilton Township nudged Madison Christian (Groveport, OH), 4-3, in a non-league battle.
