The Effingham Flaming Hearts volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Centennial Chargers to 1 in the Flaming Hearts non-league victory on Saturday.
The Flaming Hearts now have a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fairfield for a non-league game on Saturday, September 10. Effingham will meet a Mules team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Normal University (Normal, IL). The Mules record now stands at 10-4.
The Chargers (2-11) will now prepare for their game against Naperville Central (Naperville, IL). The Redhawks enter the non-league game with a 6-8 record. In their last game, Naperville Central was nudged by McCracken County (Paducah, KY), 2-0, in a non-league game.
