The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Hinsdale South Hornets (Darien, IL) and the visiting Effingham Flaming Hearts (Effingham, IL), saw Hinsdale South's volleyball squad beat Effingham by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Hinsdale South upgrades its record to 5-9 on the year. The Hornets travel to Bloomington (Bloomington, IL) to play the Purple Raiders in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 10. The Purple Raiders go into the bout with a record of 3-4.

The Flaming Hearts now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Teutopolis for a non-league bout on Monday, September 12. Effingham will play a Wooden Shoes squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Bloomington (Bloomington, IL). The Wooden Shoes record now stands at 6-7.
