The Ponderosa Bruins topped the host Elk Grove Thundering Herd volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Bruins now have a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Del Campo for a non-league test on Saturday, September 10. Ponderosa will confront a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Bella Vista (Fair Oaks, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-5.

The Thundering Herd (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Sheldon (Sacramento, CA). The Huskies enter the Delta League test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Sheldon was knocked off by Cosumnes Oaks (Elk Grove, CA), 3-0, in a league test.
