The Reed-Custer Comets held off the visiting Flanagan-Cornell Falcons volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Comets now have a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Serena for a non-league test on Saturday, September 10. Reed-Custer will confront a Huskers team coming off a 2-0 league win over Hiawatha (Kirkland, IL). The Huskers record now stands at 7-1.
The Falcons (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Sandwich (Sandwich, IL). The Indians enter the non-league test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Sandwich was nudged by Ottawa (Ottawa, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
