Downingtown West Whippets (Downingtown, PA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host Great Valley Patriots (Malvern, PA), 2-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Downingtown West moves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Whippets travel to Villa Joseph Marie (Holland, PA) to meet the Jems in a non-league test on Thursday, September 12. The Jems come into the test with a record of 2-3.

The Patriots now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sun Valley for a Ches-Mont test on Wednesday, September 18.
