The New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) soccer overwhelmed the host Dayspring Christian Academy Lions (Blacksburg, VA), 7-1 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The Gryphons now hold a 7-0 record. They play next when they travel to Eastern Mennonite for a Blue Ridge Athletic challenge on Friday, September 13. New Covenant will encounter a Flames squad coming off a 8-1 league win over Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA). The Flames record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Dayspring Christian Academy moves to 0-2 on the year. The Lions host Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA) to encounter the Knights in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 16. The Knights go into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Christian Heritage Academy lost 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Faith Christian (Roanoke, VA)
