In Tuesday's league outing, the host Hillsboro Hiltoppers soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 victory over the Southwestern Piasa Birds.

The Hiltoppers (3-3) will now prepare for their outing against St. Anthony (Effingham, IL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 1-1 record. In their last outing, St. Anthony got by Robinson (Robinson, IL), 5-2, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Piasa Birds play the North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, September 12. Southwestern will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Panthers go into the outing with a 0-8 record after their 9-0 league loss to Carlinville (Carlinville, IL).
