Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE) and the host Seaford Bluejays (Seaford, DE), saw Smyrna's soccer squad hold off Seaford by a count of 1-0.

The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Cape Henlopen (Lewes, DE). The Vikings enter the Henlopen North battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Cape Henlopen was edged by Indian River (Dagsboro, DE), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Bluejays battle the Woodbridge Raiders (Bridgeville, DE) in a Henlopen South battle, on Tuesday, September 17. Seaford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
