Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Cheverus Stags (Portland, ME), 3-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Cape Elizabeth improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Capers host Messalonskee (Oakland, ME) to face the Eagles in a Class B test on Tuesday, September 17. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 1-1. Messalonskee lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Hampden (Hampden, ME)

The Stags now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thornton Academy for a Class A test on Thursday, September 12. Cheverus will face a Trojans squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Biddeford (Biddeford, ME). The Trojans record now stands at 1-1.
