The Polar Bears (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Abbott (Abbott, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league challenge with a 5-5 record. In their last challenge, Abbott beat Milford (Milford, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Godley Wildcats (Godley, TX) in a 4A Region II District 10 battle, on Friday, September 13. Hillsboro will attempt to improve on its 10-11 season record. The Wildcats go into the battle with a 10-13 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Glen Rose (Glen Rose, TX).
