Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the George Walton Academy Bulldogs (Monroe, GA) and the host Johnson Knights (Gainesville, GA), observed George Walton Academy's volleyball team hold off Johnson by a count of 2-1.

The Bulldogs (5-21) will now prepare for their contest against Bethlehem Christian Academy (Bethlehem, GA). The Knights enter the GIAA 4AAA contest with a 9-9 record. In their last bout, Bethlehem Christian Academy nipped Veritas Academy (Savannah, GA), 2-0, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, Johnson drops to 1-12 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA) to clash with the Indians in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 12. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 7-17. Lumpkin County lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against North Hall (Gainesville, GA)
