With the win, Rice Consolidated improves its record to 12-17 on the season. The Raiders travel to Columbus (Columbus, TX) to face the Cardinals in a 3A Region IV District 25 test on Friday, September 13. The Cardinals go into the test with a record of 21-8. Columbus lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Schulenburg (Schulenburg, TX)

The Rangers now own a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Randle for a 5A Region III District 20 test on Friday, September 20.
