Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Great Valley Patriots (Malvern, PA) and the visiting Kennett Blue Demons (Kennett Square, PA), saw Great Valley's soccer squad hold off Kennett by a count of 2-1.

The Patriots (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Upper Merion Area (King of Prussia, PA). The Vikings come into the non-league match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Upper Merion Area was tipped by Pottsgrove (Pottsgrove, PA), 4-0, in a league match.

The Blue Demons now sport a 1-4 record.
