In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Bishop McGuinness Villains soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Williams Bulldogs.
The Villains (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC). The Grizzlies go into the non-league outing with a 2-3 record. In their last outing, Oak Grove was edged by East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC), 3-2, in a non-league outing.
In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Cummings Cavaliers (Burlington, NC) in a Mid-Carolina 4A/5A/6A test, on Monday, September 15. Williams will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Cavaliers come into the test with a 0-1 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Seaforth (Pittsboro, NC).
