In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Centennial Chargers soccer squad scored a tight 5-0 win over the Monticello Sages.

The Chargers (4-5) will now prepare for their outing against Peoria (Peoria, IL). The Lions enter the Big Twelve outing with a 0-6 record. In their last outing, Peoria was overwhelmed by Bloomington (Bloomington, IL), 4-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Sages confront the Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, September 13. Monticello will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Cornjerkers come into the test with a 3-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL).
