North Carolina High School Soccer - East Duplin nudges Dixon

Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) and the host Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC), saw East Duplin's soccer squad hold off Dixon by a count of 3-2.
The Panthers (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against White Oak (Jacksonville, NC). The Vikings enter the non-league battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, White Oak was edged by Swansboro (Swansboro, NC), 3-0, in a non-league match.
The Bulldogs now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Swansboro for a Coastal 5A/6A match on Tuesday, September 16. Dixon will meet a Pirates team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over White Oak (Jacksonville, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 2-5.
