Next, the Spartans face the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a Southern Carolina 6A/7A contest, on Monday, September 15. Sun Valley will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Pirates enter the contest with a 9-0 record after their 2-2 non-league Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC).

The Jaguars (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC). The Mountaineers enter the Big South 5A/6A contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Kings Mountain was nipped by Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC), 5-2, in a non-league contest.
