Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA) supporters left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Lake Oconee Academy Titans (Greensboro, GA), 13-5 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Briarwood Academy improves its record to 6-5 on the year. The Buccaneers host Lincoln County (Lincolnton, GA) to play the Red Devils in a non-league game on Monday, September 15. The Red Devils enter the game with a record of 6-8. Lincoln County won 9-1 in their recent league game against Towns County (Hiawassee, GA)
The Titans now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Washington-Wilkes for a 1A D-II Region 8 game on Thursday, September 11.
