Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Western Christian Fighting Lancers (Upland, CA) and the host Bassett Olympians (La Puente, CA), observed Western Christian's volleyball team top Bassett by a count of 3-0.

The Fighting Lancers (19-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sultana (Hesperia, CA). The Sultans go into the non-league battle with a 11-3 record. In their last battle, Sultana achieved victory over Serrano (Phelan, CA), 3-2, in a league battle.

The Olympians now own a 3-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Covina for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 11. Bassett will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Temple City (Temple City, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-10.
