Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Trona Tornadoes (Trona, CA) and the host Beatty Hornets (Beatty, NV), observed Trona's volleyball team top Beatty by a count of 3-0.

The Tornadoes (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Owens Valley (Independence, CA). The Cubs enter the Hi-Lo contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Owens Valley notched a victory over Immanuel Christian (Ridgecrest, CA), 3-1, in a league battle.

The Hornets now own a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tonopah for a 1A Central battle on Friday, September 12. Beatty will encounter a Muckers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Owens Valley (Independence, CA). The Muckers record now stands at 6-4.
