In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Chalmette Owls.

The Swamp Owls (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Sulphur (Sulphur, LA). The Golden Tors enter the non-league challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Sulphur nudged Westminster Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Owls now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thomas Jefferson for a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. Chalmette will face a squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (Kenner, LA). The record now stands at 0-2.
