Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Kendrick Cherokees (Columbus, GA) and the visiting Chattahoochee County Panthers (Cusseta, GA), observed Kendrick's volleyball team top Chattahoochee County by a count of 2-0.

The Cherokees (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Calhoun County (Edison, GA). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Calhoun County was knocked off by Quitman County (Georgetown, GA), 2-0, in a league battle.

The Panthers now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomasville for a 1A Area 1 battle on Thursday, September 11. Chattahoochee County will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Community Christian (Tallahassee, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-8.
