The Mercer County Golden Eagles volleyball team scored 1 points and restricted the host St. Bede Bruins to 0 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Golden Eagles now possess a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Stark County for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 11. Mercer County will play a Rebels team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Alleman (Rock Island, IL). The Rebels record now stands at 0-7.

With the loss, St. Bede falls to 6-4 on the year. The Bruins host Woodland (Streator, IL) to clash with the Warriors in a Tri-County outing on Thursday, September 11. The Warriors come into the outing with a record of 3-9. Woodland won 2-1 in their recent non-league outing against Tri-Point (Cullom, IL)
