The Ashland Oredockers held off the visiting Phillips Loggers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Oredockers now have a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Spooner for a Heart O'North test on Tuesday, September 14. Ashland will confront a Rails team coming off a 3-0 league loss to St. Croix Falls (St. Croix Falls, WI). The Rails record now stands at 0-1.
The Loggers (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Shell Lake (Shell Lake, WI). The Lakers enter the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Shell Lake was nudged by Turtle Lake (Turtle Lake, WI), 3-0, in a league test.
