In Monday's league battle, the host Freeport Yellowjackets soccer squad scored a close 8-2 triumph over the Apollo Ridge Vikings.
The Yellowjackets (7-0) will now prepare for their battle against Valley (New Kensington, PA). The Vikings come into the WPIAL AA 2 battle with a 0-0 record.
The Vikings (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA). The Lancers come into the WPIAL AA 2 battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Deer Lakes was overwhelmed by Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA), 3-2, in a league battle.
