The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) and the visiting South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), saw Draughn's volleyball squad nip South Caldwell by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Draughn upgrades its record to 9-2 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Madison (Marshall, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 12. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Madison lost 2-1 in their recent league bout against Rosman (Rosman, NC)

The Spartans now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Watauga for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 13. South Caldwell will play a Pioneers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Hickory (Hickory, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 6-2.
