In Monday's non-league game, the Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) soccer squad overwhelmed the visiting Western Guilford Hornets (Greensboro, NC), by a count of 7-1.
The Blue Comets (8-1) will now prepare for their game against Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC). The Colts go into the non-league game with a 5-3 record.
The Hornets (2-6) will now prepare for their game against Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Falcons go into the Metro 4A game with a 1-7 record. In their last game, Southeast Guilford was overwhelmed by Western Alamance (Elon, NC), 5-1, in a non-league game.
