In Monday's non-league battle, the host Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Westminster Owls.
The Patriots (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against Linganore (Frederick, MD). The Lancers come into the Spires battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Linganore nudged Walkersville (Walkersville, MD), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
The Owls (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Manchester Valley (Manchester, MD). The Mavericks come into the MVAL - Blue Ridge battle with a 2-0 record.
