In Monday's non-league battle, the host St. Thomas Academy Cadets soccer squad scored a close 3-1 triumph over the Hill-Murray Pioneers.
The Cadets (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN). The Packers come into the Class A Section 3 battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, South St. Paul North (North St. Paul, MN), 2-2, in a non-league battle.
The Pioneers (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mahtomedi (Mahtomedi, MN). The Zephyrs come into the Class A Section 4 battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Mahtomedi nudged Tartan (Oakdale, MN), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
