Urbana Tigers (Urbana, IL) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Tigers confront the Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) in a Big Twelve challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. Urbana will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Ironmen enter the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 2-2 non-league Prairie Ridge (Crystal Lake, IL).
The Sages now have a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Rantoul for a Illini Prairie test on Tuesday, September 12. Monticello will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 0-0 non-league Oakwood/Catlin (Fithian, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 3-3.
