In Monday's league contest, the Fletcher Wildcats (Fletcher, OK) softball team overwhelmed the host Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK), by a margin of 16-2.

With the triumph, Fletcher moves its record to 24-11 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Empire (Duncan, OK) to play the Bulldogs in a Class A contest on Monday, September 11. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 21-8. Empire won 5-4 in their recent non-league contest against Walters (Walters, OK)

In their next game, the Comets play the Elmore City-Pernell Badgers (Elmore City, OK) in a Class A contest, on Tuesday, September 12. Velma-Alma will attempt to move on its 3-19 season record. The Badgers come into the contest with a 16-12 record after their 14-0 league win over Ninnekah (Ninnekah, OK).
