In Monday's league battle, the host DeLaSalle Islanders volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Fridley Tigers.

The Islanders (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Visitation (Mendota Heights, MN). The Blazers come into the Tri-Metro battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Visitation lost by Academy of Holy Angels (Richfield, MN), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Columbia Heights Hylanders (Columbia Heights, MN) in a Tri-Metro battle, on Thursday, September 14. Fridley will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Hylanders come into the battle with a 0-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Richfield (Richfield, MN).
