The Spartans now possess a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ravenna for a Portage Trail - Metro game on Tuesday, September 12. Springfield will meet a Ravens team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Southeast (Ravenna, OH). The Ravens record now stands at 2-7.

The Orangemen (3-6) will now prepare for their game against Garfield (Akron, OH). The Rams enter the Akron City game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Garfield was dropped by Andrews Osborne Academy (Willoughby, OH), 2-0, in a non-league game.
