The Maryville Christian Eagles held off the visiting South-Doyle Cherokees volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Monday's non-league test.
The Eagles now have a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to King's Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 12. Maryville Christian will confront a Lions team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Lakeway Christian Academy (Morristown, TN). The Lions record now stands at 6-4.
The Cherokees (1-9) will now prepare for their test against Alcoa (Alcoa, TN). The Tornadoes enter the test with a 4-6 record. In their last test, Alcoa held off Sequoyah (Madisonville, TN), 3-1, in a league test.
