The Paris Eagles held off the host Mena Bearcats volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Monday's non-league test.
The Eagles now have a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Fork for a 3A West test on Tuesday, September 12. Paris will confront a Tigers team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Lincoln (Lincoln, AR). The Tigers record now stands at 0-5.
The Bearcats (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Bauxite (Bauxite, AR). The Miners enter the 4A West test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Bauxite held off Ashdown (Ashdown, AR), 3-1, in a league test.
