The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY) and the visiting Mercer County Titans (Harrodsburg, KY), saw Rockcastle County's volleyball squad beat Mercer County by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Rockcastle County upgrades its record to 5-9 on the year. The Rockets host Casey County (Liberty, KY) to play the Rebels in a District 47 bout on Tuesday, September 12. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 4-16.

The Titans now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Garrard County for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 12. Mercer County will confront a Golden Lions team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over North Hardin (Radcliff, KY). The Golden Lions record now stands at 9-9.
