Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY) and the host Mason County Royals (Maysville, KY), saw Russell's soccer squad hold off Mason County by a count of 3-2.

The Red Devils (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against Belfry (Belfry, KY). The Pirates enter the non-league battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Belfry tipped Paintsville (Paintsville, KY), 7-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Royals battle the Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 16. Mason County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record.
